Getting There

The best way to get to the island is by flying into Aktion National Airport in Preveza from a hub like London, Amsterdam or Frankfurt. From there, you can rent a car or take a taxi, shuttle or bus to the island. However, you could fly into Athens and make your way to Lefkada by car or bus.

Where to Stay

We recommend that guests stay on the East Coast of Lefkada. The wedding will be held in Geni, on the Lefkada Peninsula. We've included an accommodation list for each town as recommended by our wedding planner. More accommodation is available through Booking.com and AirBnb.

NIDRI

The most popular tourist resort lies around the natural bay and has excellent tourist attractions - taverns, restaurants, cafes, bars, tourist shops and various accommodations. Beautiful sandy beaches stretch along the coast with amazing views. One of the busiest ports in Lefkada with ferry connections to the neighboring islands.

NIKIANA

Between the capital Lefkas and Nidri, a lovely fishing village suitable for peaceful holidays. One road with several shops, restaurants and cafes, and a small port with a numerous sailing boats. The beach is narrow with gravel. Buses operate to all parts of Lefkada, and excursion boats go to the islands Skorpios and Meganisi.

PERIGIALI

One of the smallest settlements, very picturesque, built on green slopes of the eastern mountains. Nidri lies just about one kilometer away and is easy to get to. Some beaches are not suitable for swimming. With a mini market, restaurants, apartments and villas on the slopes, the atmosphere is calmer than in Nidri.

GENI

Geni is a village and peninsula on the east, enclosing Vlicho Bay. A scenic harbour full of yachts, quieter and less urbanized, waterfront accommodations have mooring points for boats. Some tavernas have tables on the piers. As the wedding is taking place in Geni, you may wish to stay here, although you'll need transport to see the rest of Lefkada.
